Russia coach Andrey Voronkov:

“Despite a few point of advantage that Serbia had today, we didn’t give them a chance to win. We are determined to keep working and have more wins.”

Russia captain Sergey Makarov:

“This was a necessary win. It proves we worked very well and that we are heading to the right direction.”

Serbia captain Dragan Stanković:

“We played better tonight, but we didn’t have enough strength to finish the sets in our favour. Our key problem was Russia’s serve. Nevertheless we still have a chance to qualify for the Final Six.”

Serbia coach Igor Kolaković:

We had our chance to win the second set and at the beginning of the third set, but Russia was impressive with their serves and defense.”
