It has all started with Bernardo Rezende, and unfortunately continued with Russian players. They obviously couldn’t withstand elimination from the World Championship, so they started “speaking” with middle fingers.
Russians were pointing them toward Polish crowd…
Polish website sportowefakty.pl has captured this incident by a video camera.
We don’t know if they were provoced in some way, but this was not appropriate reaction for sports persons.

Bernardo Rezende nega que tenha mostrado o dedo , é mentira da imprensa polonesa , por isso a imagem não existe !
@JULIAN
Rezende pointed the middle finger and it was caught on tape – TV Polsat showed it. I cannot find that video online – probably because Polsat is deleting everything posted online it has rights to. But I’m sure they have delivered the footage to FIVB.

How do you know they couldn’t withstand elimination? I doubt it was because they were eliminated, it isn’t as if they haven’t been eliminated in a tournament before. I am no way condoning it, but I think they could have been been provoked. They have been booed a lot in their matches..
Polish people are so polite a people, when I saw booed the anthem of Russia.
