He decided to terminate contract with Zenit Kazan and to take a break from volleyball.

First of all, I want to say that I have no any conflict with teammates, the coach or the club’s board. Here in Kazan, everything was at the highest level. I decided to take a break from my career because I’m tired of volleyball. Since I started playing professionally, I didn’t see my family. Because of that, I feel uncomfortable and I’m under stress all the time. That state reached its critical level before the start of the season. I thought I could overcome depression, but I couldn’t. I think the break will help me to regain the passion and love. I’m grateful to Kazan fans and the support they gave me. I hope they will understand me” said Anderson for the official website of Zenit Kazan.
