Rosir Calderon has recently gained Russian citizenship and the right to play for the Russian National Team. However, even she admits that it is not likely to happen.

Theoretically everything is possible, but my opinion is that chances are not high. Firstly, because it is not easy to fight for a place in the Russian National Team. I would have to compete with Gamova, Kosheleva, Obmochaeva… All of them are top volleyball players. Secondly, my family would not be happy to be without me for the whole summer. But, if I received an invitation I think I would accept it. Russian clubs are leaders in European volleyball, and with them you can improve your skills. I consider Russia as my second home” stated Calderon for Sport-Express.
