Russian Superleague is the competition without too many foreigners participating, but with all the best domestic players performing there. Despite current weakness of the Russian national team, we all know how good Russian players are! And those foreigners that manage to sign for Superleague clubs – you could be sure that they are in the world’s top!

Russian teams didn’t spend too much money in the summer transfer market for the season 2015/2016 as all the best clubs kept their best players. It means that they will keep playing powerful volleyball and contesting to win all the trophies in European competitions.

The star of the transfer window in Russia was Serbian receiver/outside hitter Marko Ivović who signed for vice-champions, Belogorie Belgorod. This team will try to dethrone Zenit Kazan.

Gubernya Nizhniy Novgorod and Kuzbass Kemerovo hired the highest number of newcomers during summer.

Nova: Galatov (Kuzbass), Tsarev (Prikamie).
