After the last place at the World League 2015, Russia decided to bring back Sergey Tetyukhin to the national team for the World Cup 2015. No doubt that he will be a huge addition to the roster, but his teammate Alexey Verbov states that it also tells a lot about younger generations…
“Tetyukhin is a fantastic player, a true winner, and his career proves his quality. I am sure that he would like very much to play on one more Olympic tournament. But, the fact that he had to return to the national team at this age is a bit frustrating, because it means that our young players are still not ready to replace him. That is sad” said Verbov for Sport-Express.
Recall that Alexey Verbov will miss the upcoming World Cup due to knee injury, while he might be also out of the European Championship.
