Russia have scored their second win in Ankara! After defeating Poland at the start of the tournament, they were better than Italy on the second day! The girls led by Yuri Marichev collected all three points today, which might be very important for the final standings.

Unlike the opening day, this time Russia had a fierce start of the game. They won the first set against Italy by 25:16, but they lost the second one – 23:25. Still, the Russian squad remained focused and clinched the following two sets and closed the game against the big rival.

Tatiana Kosheleva was the top scorer in the winning team with 20 points, while Nataliya Ombochaeva added 18. On the other side, not a single player from Italy managed to reach double digits! Their best scorers were Martina Guiggi and Antonella Del Core with 8 points each.
