The top scorers in the Russian team were internationals – Matt Anderson and Wilfredo Leon scored 15 points each for the winning side.
“We knew the tactics and managed to keep the same level of concentration from the beginning to the end. In the first round we had let PGE Skra find their way back into the match, and they were able to come back from 0-2 down. Today we were simply the better side,” said Matt Anderson after his team reached the CEV Champions League Final Four.
Recall that Zenit Kazan are about to face another Polish powerhouse, as they will play against Asseco Resovia in the Semi-Finals of the CEV Champions League. In the other pair, Trentino and Lube will face each other in the Italian derby.
