According to R-Sport, Anderson had problems to get Visa for Russia, so he arrived in Kazan only couple of days before the Supercup Finals. He even admitted to Vladimir Alekno that he has not played volleyball for almost a month, but experienced Russian coach decided to put Anderson in the game and he was not sorry for that call.
“I was expecting a bit more difficult game, but we really played excellent volleyball. Wilfredo Leon was just amazing at the beginning. He won the 1st set all by himself with his great attacks and serves. I really do not if he made a single error. As for me, I had difficulties, but my teammates helped me a lot. I told Alekno that I haven’t touched the ball for three weeks. Still, I am in this sport for a long time and it is not possible to lose the touch in such a short period,” said Anderson for R-Sport.
