Gazprom Yugra came to win and that was the main problem for the team in Kazan.
The away side didn’t want to surrender and Alekno’s team barely managed to win after playing five sets 3-2 (25-18, 24-26, 26-28, 25-22, 15-13).
Zenit were trailing after the third set and afterwards managed somehow to make comeback and to win a game. Maxim Mikhailov was the hero with 28 points, while Leon added 18 points. On the other side, Chefranov scored 22, Roichev 15 and Volkov 14!
Belogorie also had a tough match against Nova! They barely beat the rival in five-set thriller 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-21, 24-26, 18-16).
We have to admit that it was a tough day for these two volleyball powerhouses.
