Lokomotiv Novosibirsk middle blocker spiked the ball out of bounds, while head coach Plamen Konstantinov put the blame on setter Kawika Shoji for the bad pass. Konstantinov immediately called for a substitution to take Kawika out of the game, while then Kurkaev turned to his coach and admitted that it was actually his mistake that the ball ended up out of bounds!
Shoji rewarded Kurkaev with an applause for making this gesture.
