They managed to open the Russian Cup Final Six tournament by beating Fakel Noviy Urengoy in straight sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 27-25). The game was not easy for the team from Novosibirsk, especially the last two sets.
If Zenit beat Fakel, Lokomotiv will play in the semifinals of the Russian Cup.
Recall that six teams are divided into two Pools. The first two teams from each pool will advance to the semifinals.
