Very interesting result comes from Russia. Dinamo Kazan, one of the most powerful teams in the country, suffered a straight-sets defeat against Sakhalin on the road!
And not just that, Kazan squad scored only 7 points in the 1st set and only 12 in the 2nd set! Sakhalin – Dinamo Kazan 3-0 (25:7, 25:12, 25:20).
This is the reason for such a display – Dinamo Kazan decided to send their junior team to this match, in order to give the main players some rest in front of the important CEV Cup game which is scheduled for the next week. The club’s management explained this decision as “the team would anyway hardly finish the regular season in front of Dinamo Moscow, so they had to make this move.”
