Superliga title holders achieved a hard-fought victory over runners-up Dinamo Moscow to get 20-0 in the league, 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-23, 26-24). This was, probably, the last chance for Dinamo Moscow to endanger pole position of Zenit for the playoffs. Maksim Mikhaylov topped Zenit’s scorers with 21 points. Konstantin Bakun had 20 on the other side.

This outcome went into favor of Belogorie Belgorod, who beat Nova Novokuybishevsk in straight sets thanks to 14 points from Dmitriy Muserskiy, remained fourth and came closer to third-placed Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and second-placed Dinamo Moscow.

Led by Lukáš Diviš who noted 12 points, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk smashed Neftyanik Orenburg 3-0 while Kuzbass Kemerovo also achieved a straigh-set win to keep chances to settle at No.4 alive. Sergey Nikitin collected 14 points for the winners.
