According to sport.business-gazeta.ru, a new volleyball club will be founded this summer and it will be placed in Saint Petersburg. Its main sponsor will be Gazprom which means that finances will not be an issue for this team, while they might jump into Superleague already in the 2017/18 season!
How, you ask?
Well, the new club, which will probably be called Saint Petersburg, is planning to buy a place in the Superleague from Dinamo Krasnodar who is passing through a serious financial crisis.
Creating a strong team should not be a problem for Saint Petersburg, while some rumors suggest that the first signing of the new Russian powerhouse will be former Lokomotiv Novosibirsk star player – Oreol Camejo.
