When Kuzyutkin revelead preliminary roster to start training in 2017 earlier, there were names of setter Evgeniya Startseva and libero Anna Malova but both decided not to play for „Zbornaya“ – Startseva only temporarily, while Malova during entire season.
„Anna Malova refused to play not only in the national team, but also in Dinamo Moscow. Evgeniya Startseva asked for a break due to family circumstances. But she should join us at the Yeltsin Cup and will continue to prepare with the national team,“ said Kuzyutkin.
Russia will open Qualifications – Pool A on May 31 against Austria. Besides these two, other participants in the pool are Croatia (hosts), Hungary, Greece and Georgia.
