The Serbian setter Ana Antonijević finally stepped on the court after 16 months of recovering from injury. And when you cross that long road through the pain to get back to the volleyball again, you can imagine how much she loves this sport. Let’s ask her how she felt on the court after long pause:
“I’m just speechless. I have been working so hard in the last sixteen months for this moment. I had goose bumps when I saw how many people were delighted for me. The way back after injury was not always easy for me – but it was definitely worth it. I know that I still have a long way to go to get back to the level I displayed before the injury. I still have to work hard on my stamina and my power. But I will not give up,” says Antonijevic, who gives the right example that you simply can’t have words “give up” in your dicitionary.
Recall that her recover and rehab period lasted 16 months due to torn cruciate ligament injury.
