“The final match with the Netherlands was pretty much normal for us because we are used to playing such kind of big matches. We played very well, but to finish the competition with only two sets lost is incredible. We have been together for years now, we know each other well, and this is the result of our hard work and commitment. After taking silver from the Rio Olympics and bronze in the 2017 edition of the FIVB World Grand Prix, we finally made it and finished on top of the podium. For me personally it is very emotional to get an individual award, too,” says Stefana Veljkovic.
The Serbian middle blocker is currently a member of Chemik Police.
