Cruzeiro-vs-Taubate
The final of the 2020 Men’s Volleyball South American Club Championship in Contagem, Brazil, will be played between the hosts and also defending champions Cruzeiro and vice-champions UPCN from Argentina.
The team from the Minas Gerais state chased the lead in sets of the Brazilian champions EMS Taubaté Funvic twice to secure themselves to appear in a decider for the gold medal at the Campeonato Sudamericano de Clubes: 3-2 (23-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-23, 15-13). With 18 points, Argentinean Facundo Conte from Cruzeiro was the top scorer of the match.
UPCN defeated countrymen and also national champions Bolívar Voley in 4 sets and got into to the final for the seventh time on their 10 participations in the event.
