San Lorenzo are one step away from reappearing on the podium of the continental club championship. The bronze medalists from 2019 defeated the Bolivian side Universidad Católica de Boliviana in straight sets on Day 3 of the 2020 Sudamericano de Clubes femenino, and added the second victory in three games: 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-12). With 6 points in the pocket and third place in the standings, the team coached by Mario Gallego will close its participation in the competition against the current champions Itambé/Minas, tomorrow.
As for the Brazilian titleholders Minas, they beat Argentinean champions Boca Juniors by a 3-0 with the opposite Sheilla Castro being the top scorer of the match with 16 points. Minas also have six points but, unlike San Lorenzo, a perfect record (2-0) that placed them second in the charts.
