Katherine Regalado was the top scorer of the match with 14 points. Beatriz Novoa scored 12 points for Chile.
In the second match of the day, Argentina lost to Colombia 3-1 (20-25, 25-15, 25-27, 23-25). Colombian Amanda Coneo was the top scorer of the match with 30 points. From the other side, Emilce Sosa was the top scorer of Argentina with 21 points. Argentina will play the last game of the competition against Chile, and the closing match of the South American Championship will be between Brazil and Colombia.
