Dentil/Praia Clube calmly beat Uruguay’s Olimpia in straight sets in Round 1 of the 2021 South American Club Championship in Brasília, Brazil. Such a clear win of the recent Brazilian Super Cup winners is no surprise given the difference in quality between these two. And that difference is so huge that Praia conceded only 29 points for the entire match (25-10, 25-11, and 25-8). Ariane Pinto was the top scorer for the Uberlândia side with 16 points.

The three-time defending champions Itambé/Minas prevailed over Brasília Vôlei. The hosts started surprisingly well and took the opening set, but the team led by coach Nicola Negro showed a strong reaction and turned the score around. Caroline Gattaz ’Carol Gattaz’ tallied 20 points for Minas.
