Colombia snagged its third South American bronze medal after a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Chile. The intense match ended with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 16-25, 25-23, and 15-12. This adds to Colombia’s earlier bronze medals won in 2015 and 2017. Gustavo Larrahondo was the star for Colombia, leading the offense with a striking 34 points. Despite the loss, Chile’s Vicente Parraguirre emerged as the top scorer of the match with 37 points.
Meanwhile, Argentina continues its winning streak, remaining undefeated after beating Peru in a 3-1 match. Set scores settled at 25-16, 20-25, 25-9, and 25-18. Facundo Conte was the highlight for Argentina, contributing 15 points, while Sebastian Blanco was the top scorer for Peru with 13 points. Argentina will go head-to-head with Brazil in the grand finale to decide the tournament champion.
