Blumenau’s Galegão Gymnasium witnessed a victorious start for Brazilian teams at the South American Clubs Championship. Farma Conde, Apan/Roll-on, and Sada Cruzeiro each secured wins against their counterparts from Uruguay, Peru, and Bolivia, respectively. The tournament’s first day highlighted the dominance of Brazilian teams with Farma Conde defeating CDV Centenario 3-0, Apan/Roll-on overcoming Vamos Peerless with the same score, and Sada Cruzeiro besting Olímpico by 3-0.
The 2024 South American Club Championship features nine teams, organized into three groups. The initial three days are reserved for the qualifying round. Each group’s top team, along with the second-best overall, advance to the semifinals. On February 15th, matches for the 7th vs. 8th places, 5th vs. 6th places, and the semifinals are scheduled. In the semifinals, Group A’s leader competes against the second-best qualifier, followed by matches between the leaders of Groups B and C. The competition concludes the next day with the third-place match and the championship final.
Pool A includes Sada Cruzeiro (Brazil), Monteros (Argentina), and Olímpico (Bolivia). Pool B is made up of Farma Conde (Brazil), Policía (Argentina), and CDV (Uruguay). Lastly, Pool C hosts APAN/Roll-on (Brazil), Ciudad (Argentina), and Vamos Peerless (Peru).
