The champion of the competition will be one step closer to qualifying for the FIVB Volleyball Nations League 2019.
In the opening match of Day 1, Colombia defeated Venezuela with 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-17) thanks to Amanda Coneo (16) and Maria Margarita Martinez (10).
In the second match of the day, Peru celebrated victory over Chile (25-15, 25-19, 25-13) and the leaders were Clarivett Yllescas and Brenda Daniela Uribe with 7 points each.
On the Day 2, the hosts defeated Venezuela also in three sets and Karla Beatriz Ortiz was the best scorer with 13 points. Colombia of coach Antonio Rizola Neto also celebrated a new win of 3-0 and this time over Chile and once again opposite Maria Margarita Martinez was the top scorer with 13 points.
Peru and Colombia will play for the first position at the tournament and the winner will move to the next stage of the competition.
