by WoV

The reigning champions have ended the regular season of the Turkish women's Championship in a victorious way.

Vakifbank

Vakifbank

Vakifbank defeated Canakkale to score the 21st win in the league out of 22 games. Vakifbank is definitely ready for the playoffs.

Ebrar Karakurt was the best scorer with 17 points, while Kelsey Robinson with 16 points. On the other side, Melis Durul had 14 points.

Canakkale will have to forget this season as soon as possible since they scored 3 out of 22 wins in the 2018/2019 season.

There is a rumor from volleywood.net suggesting Swiss teenager Isabelle Haak will join Vakifbank for next season, replacing Lonneke Sloetjes. It looks like there will be some wholesale changes for Vakifbank. I got a feeling Kelsey Robinson too. Haak is 19, 6’4′ and jumps pretty well and is a opposite hitter to complement Zhu Ting. I wonder are they also trying to replace their middle blocker.

Giovanni will prefer Ebrar Karakurt for the next season. Haak or whatever can stay in Italy.
