Defending champions and also second seed VakıfBank prevailed over No.3 seed Fenerbahçe Opet in Game 2 of the 2018-2019 Vestel Venus Sultanlar Ligi playoff semifinals in four sets, partially 23-25, 25-22, 25-19 and 25-18.
Win this win which came in front of own crows, VakıfBank gave themselves a chance to fight for the back-to-back national title against the top seed Eczacıbaşı VitrA who secured their spot in the finals earlier. It is going to be the second straight gold medal face-off between these two sides in the national championship. The playoff final series will be played in the best-of-five format.
Chinese Zhu Ting pushed VakıfBank to a victory in Game 2 with 22 points. Cuban Melissa Vargas scored one point more for Fenerbahçe.
