In a duel of the greatest sports rivals in Turkey, Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta defeated Galatasaray HDI Sigorta as guests by a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) in the closing of Round 15 of the 2019/20 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season.

The match was important for both sides as it was a battle for the leadership of the regular season. With a win, Fenerbahçe strengthened their place as the No.1, leaving vice-leaders Galatasaray 5 points behind. At the same time, Fenerbahçe took revenge on the fiercest rivals for a defeat in the first half of the season, which was their only failure in the Efeler Ligi, so far.

The Dutchman Wouter Ter Maat was the top scorer of the winning side with 28 points, including 5 aces. Estonian Oliver Venno and Doğukan Ulu delivered 11 points apiece for Galatasaray with the latter making 80% attack (8/10).
