Favorites recorded victories in the 19th round of the 2019/20 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi. However, it’s clear that only two teams remained in the contention for the No.1 in the next three rounds of the regular season – Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta and Arkas Spor.

By sweeping Sorgun Belediye on the road, the leaders Fenerbahçe kept the advantage of five points in relation to the second-placed Arkas.

The team from İzmir was also successful today, beating İnegöl Belediye by a 3-1 (22-25, 28-26, 25-12, 25-14). Adis Lagumdžija put down 26 points for the winning side who had as many as 19 kill blocks (Mustafa Koç and Yiğit Gülmezoğlu set up 5 apiece). Cuban Osmany Uriarte scored 14 points for İnegöl.

Seven of eighth playoff participants are known. Three teams will fight for the No.8 in the rest of the regular season, and two of them lost today – Sorgun and İnegöl. In case İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü beat Tokat Belediye Plevne in two days, they will settle at the eighth position in the charts.
