The TVF decided not to wait any longer and confirmed the decision which they already made in principle earlier – both men’s and women’s championship are canceled without awarding titles. The classification at the end of the regular season will be valid to assign the places in European competitions next season.
As for men’s clubs, Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta and Arkas Spor will have a place in the CEV Champions League, Galatasaray HDI Sigorta and Spor Toto in the CEV Cup, while Ziraat Bankası will compete in the CEV Challenge Cup.
Women’s clubs that are to represent Turkish volleyball in the CEV Champions League are VakifBank, Eczacıbaşı VitrA and Fenerbahçe Opet, while Galatasaray HDI Sigorta while play in the CEV Cup and AtlasGlobal Yeşilyurt in the CEV Challenge Cup.
