One of the world’s biggest male volleyball prospects on the outside hitter’s position, Morteza Sharifi, left Turkey.

The 21-year-old Iran National Team member Sharifi will no longer play in Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi. Best Outside Spiker of the last year’s FIVB U21 World Championship has moved to the Turkish Championship from Italy’s Calzedonia Verona at the beginning of the 2019/20. He’ll likely follow footsteps of several more his compatriots who competed abroad last season and decided to return to Iran.

Sharifi was involved in Iran’s campaign toward the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games and toward qualifying to the Tokyo Olympics through the Asian Qualifier in January.
