After not renewing the contract with Peruvian Ángela Leyva due to the coronavirus-related reason, one foreign quota in the roster of the Turkish top division side PTT remained vacant. The Ankara club didn’t wait long to fill it. They signed the Dominican Republic National Team middle blocker Eve.
A 28-year-old player will thus compete in Europe for the first time in her career. The curiosity is that the last club for which one-time NORCECA Championship MVP has played prior to coming to Turkey was Peru’s Universidad de San Martín de Porres. That’s exactly the club with which Leyva trains at the moment.
