Eczacıbaşı VitrA players managed to stay composed even though they suffered a shocking elimination from the CEV Champions League, 4 days ago, and progressed to the final of the 2021 Turkish Women’s AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley.
In the semifinal in Istanbul, the ‘Tigers’ surprisingly easy prevailed over Fenerbahçe Opet, a team that is better ranked than them in the national league charts: 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19). Serbian Tijana Bošković led Eczacıbaşı with 13 points.
The other semifinal also ended in 3 sets. VakıfBank beat Galatasaray HDI Sigorta mostly thanks to Zehra Güneş who scred 16 points (6 blocks).
