Fenerbahçe Medicana Clinches Fifth Turkish Kupa Voley Title

In an electric final at İzmir’s Halkapınar Sports Hall, Fenerbahçe Medicana Women’s Team defeated Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in straight sets (26-24, 25-22, 28-26) to secure their second consecutive and fifth overall AXA Sigorta Kupa Voley title.

- First Set (26-24):
Fenerbahçe, starting with Bojana Drca, Eda Erdem, Aslı Kalaç, Arina Fedorovtseva, Ana Cristina, Melissa Vargas, and libero Gizem Örge, surged ahead 9-5 with aggressive serving. Eczacıbaşı attempted a comeback, but Ana Cristina’s clutch points and Vargas’s powerful serves sealed the opener for Fenerbahçe. - Second Set (25-22):
Maintaining momentum, the Yellow Angels capitalized on Ana Cristina’s rhythm, Aslı’s blocking, and Vargas’s kills, finishing the set 25-22 to take a 2-0 match lead. - Third Set (28-26):
Despite trailing 13-18, Fenerbahçe stormed back with a 4-0 run. Fedorovtseva’s ace tied the score at 19-19, and her subsequent dominance helped Fenerbahçe close the final set 28-26, completing a 3-0 sweep.
After the final whistle, the team celebrated with fans, lifting the trophy in their champion shirts. Melissa Vargas, who scored 26 points, was named Final MVP and received her award from Turkish Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ.
