As widely anticipated in recent days, it is now official. Fenerbahçe has formally announced the appointment of the new head coach for its women’s volleyball team.
Italian coach Marcello Abbondanza, who previously led Fenerbahçe between the 2013/2014 and 2016/2017 seasons, is returning to the club. During his earlier tenure, Abbondanza guided the team to an impressive collection of trophies, including 1 CEV Cup, 2 Turkish League titles, 2 Turkish Cups, and 1 Turkish Super Cup.
