Round 17 of the SMS Grup Efeler Ligi delivered several hard-fought matches, with notable setbacks for Fenerbahçe Medicana and Ziraat Bankkart, both falling on the road.
Fenerbahçe Medicana were beaten 3–1 by İstanbul Gençlik at the Şehit Mustafa Özel Sports Hall. The match was closely contested, especially in the opening and third sets, but the home side capitalized on important moments to secure the win. After narrowly losing the first set 26–24, Fenerbahçe responded in the second with a 25–23 victory to level the match. However, İstanbul Gençlik regained control by taking the third set 28–26 and maintained their momentum in the fourth to close out the match 25–21.
Ziraat Bankkart also left the week empty-handed, losing 3–1 away to Spor Toto. Despite winning the opening set 25–19, Ziraat were unable to sustain their early rhythm as Spor Toto turned the match around with three consecutive set wins.
