Arkas
After outstanding and a bit surprising previous season in which Arkas took championship title, expectations of their fans were high for this season.
The players of Arkas obviously weren’t totally ready for that and so far, they suffered too many defeats in their attempt to repeat last season’s success.
But, after achieving second consecutive victory in Turkish Division 1, things seem brighter for reigning champions – 3-0 against Maliye Milli Piyango Ankara, partially 25-20, 25-22, 25-23.
Gökhan Gökgöz pulled Arkas ahead with 20 points while Serhat Coşkun topped scorers of Milli Piyango – 13 points.
