Volero Zurich: The famous Swiss powerhouse is ready for another participation at the FIVB Women’s World Championship. Volero Zurich have reached the competition semifinals for three years in a row, however they haven’t made it to the finals yet.
The Purple squad now looks even stronger than before. With head coach Zoran Terzić at the helm and with some world-class newcomers such are Gizem Karadayi and Kenia Carcaces, Volero Zurich are definitely able to attack the gold.

VakifBank: The champions of Turkey and the vice-champions of Europe are coming to Manila with one and only goal – To win the competition. VakifBank did lose some important parts of the 2015/16 roster like Robn de Kruijf, Sheilla Castro and Anne Buijs, but they signed one of the best players in the world – Chinese star Zhu Ting.
VakifBank have already won this competition, back in 2013. The competition looks much stronger this year, but the Turkish giant will anyway aim for the top.

Hisamitsu Springs: The champions of Japan and vice-champions of Asia. This team has won 3 out of the last 4 championship titles in their country, so they are used to being the best.
Hisamitsu Springs will be playing in their third straight FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship this year, after fifth-place finishes in 2014 and 2015.
Players to look out for include Risa Shinnabe, Yuki Ishii and Miyu Nagaoka, who have also starred with Japan’s national team.

Bangkok Glass: Two-year in a row champions of Thailand and the reigning champions of Asia will be making their debut appearance at the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship.
Bangkok Glass have a very interesting roster with local heroine Pleumjit Thinkaow and with two of the most promising volleyball prospects on Thailand – Pornpun Guedpard and Jarasporn Bundasak. There is no doubt that this team is capable of making something big in Manila.
