Grothues
It is official! Maret Grothues-Balkenstein will spend the rest of the season in Fenerbahce! Dutch player started the 2016/17 campaign in Italy where she played for Bolzano, however she did not have a good communication with the team head coach, so she decided to leave the club.
When the call from Istanbul arrived she did not hesitate and Grothues-Balkenstein signed a one-year deal with Fenerbahce.
She will be a huge addition to Fenerbahce roster, especially now when Kim Yeon-Koung is injured. Recall that the Yellow Angels did not open the season in the way they had expected, as they already have 3 defeats in the Turkish Championship.
The last one was pretty painful as Fenerbahce lost the home match against VakifBank in straight sets.
