Arkas
One of title contenders in the Turkish top division suffered defeat from Tokat Belediye Plevne on the road that might cost them playoff spot 3-1 (25-23, 17-25, 25-23, 25-17).
Arkas are now third-placed in the rankings (the first four teams advance to the playoffs) but have opened the path for fourth-placed Maliye Piyango and fifth-placed Halkbank to skip them in case of achieving wins in this round. On the other hand, Tokat grabbed one of their last chances to avoid play-out (tournament that determines which teams will be relegated).
Bulgarian Martin Atanasov scored 21 points for the winning team. Brazilian international Maurício Borges had 22 for Arkas.
