A 26-year-old Rašić will spend her fourth consecutive season with the Turkish giants VakıfBank. Last season, she was one of key players of her team in winning the CEV Champions League, FIVB Club World Championship and national championship. In all three tournaments, Rašić received an award for the Best Middle Blocker, averaging 10.3 points per game. Another one came last summer, when she took silver medal with Serbia in the Rio Olympics.
“We reached an agreement fairly quickly, in general. I had a desire to stay as well as the club so we didn’t need to talk much about it. VakıfBank is like a family to me and I am very happy to wear its jersey next season, too,” Rašić stated for our website.
What was the decisive factor to stay in the club?
“There was nothing to make me think about changing the club. Everything here is on the respectable level and I can freely say that VakıfBank is one of the most organized teams in the world. The goals of VakıfBank are always big. They simply want to win everything and I believe the team will be able to accompany this,” Serbian middle blocker concluded for WorldofVolley.
