Namely, only top-seed Halkbank justified the role of the favorites in Game 1 of the best-of-three playoff quarterfinals. The defending champions defeated No.8 Afyon Yüntaş Bld. in straight sets, partially 25-16, 28-26, 25-18 with 15 points from Burutay Subaşı and 73% attack (11/15, 1 error, blocked once) from Serbian Nemanja Petrić. The Bosnian Armin Mustedanović topped Afyon with 10 points.

The second-seed Arkas Spor lost to No.7 Maliye Piyango, for which Estonian Oliver Venno scored 24 points (3 aces, 3 kill blocks) and Serbian Mihajlo Stanković made 82% reception (17 digs, 53% perfect), by a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-23). Arkas played without their best scorer, Cuban Michael Sánchez Bozhulev.

No.3 Fenerbahçe succumbed to No.6 Galatasaray by a 3-2, while the fourth-seed Ziraat Bankası suffered a defeat to No.5 İstanbul BBSK by the same result.
