An Italian coach Alberto Giuliani took over Halkbank Ankara, the current champions of Turkey. He replaced Serbian expert Slobodan Kovač who was appointed Belogorie Belgorod head coach.

Giuliani came to Halkbank with several important titles in his résumé: three Italian SuperLega league titles (two with Cucine Lube Civitanova and one with Ubi Banca San Bernardo Cuneo), one Italian Cup (Ubi Banca San Bernardo Cuneo), and one CEV Cup (Ubi Banca San Bernardo Cuneo).

This will not be Giuliani’s first experience abroad as he was Slovakia men’s national team head coach until recently.

In the last season, he was at the helm of Wixo LPR Piacenza.
