After beating Japan in the first round, USA defeated Italy in four sets 25-15, 25-14, 15-25, 25-18!
Only in the third set host team didn’t play at high level, so Italian side took the opportunity to grab one set!
Christa Harmotto (14 points) and Lauren Gibermayer (13) were the top scorers in USA, while Lucia Bosetti ended game with 12!
