Setter Vappu Ritala joined the game halfway through the first set to contribute some composure to her side and help LP SALO find its best play. “We simply caught a terrible start where we made many mistakes and could not fully exploit even some easy situations” said afterwards head coach Kari Raatikainen. “Our first setter Anna Lashch did not play bad but Ritala brought the change we needed and some more aggressiveness to our play” he continues.
Lashch eventually returned to the court in the second half of the match with LP SALO paced by Noora Kosonen with 20 points, while Sini Häkkinen and Dubravka Stojanovic registered 17 apiece. Floor Berden and Shannon Gerhardt top scored for MEIJEL with 17 points each.
