“This wasn’t surely our best game while our opponents could perform quite well” Prandi said after the game. “I hope that my players will get rid of the tension and nervousness they felt tonight as in some four days we will have to display a totally different performance in Ankara. Their serve did cause us problems and we could not find our rhythm”. “Everything is still open as we all know that the game that counts the most is coming up on Sunday in Turkey. However, we would like to thank our supporters who have been cheering on us all the way through, from the start up to the end of the game” Daniele Sottile added.
“It was a real fight from the first up to the last rally. We have performed well from the serving line and could also control the game every time we moved to the front. Our block and defense system did also work out quite well. LATINA is a strong team with a charismatic and great coach, so we know the return match will be difficult” Halkbank spiker Luis Augusto Diaz concluded.
