In spite of these difficult circumstances, Iraklis recently claimed its seventh win in the national league by edging EA PATRON (30-28, 26-24, 20-25, 23-25, 15-11). The 34-year old Kostas Christofidelis topped the charts of the best scorers for Iraklis with 24 points while middle blocker Nikolaos Smaragdis added 17 to the final count.

Iraklis still has got a perfect record of 7 wins and no losses in the national league and will try to stay unbeaten also in the European Cups. After seeing off Noliko MAASEIK 3:2 and winning in straight sets in Bulgaria over CSKA SOFIA, the guys in blue jerseys are targeting another victory.

We have to deal with injuries but every single game in the Champions League remains something special. We will give our best to make our fans happy once again” says head coach Sotirios Drikos.

This is a very difficult and important game” adds team captain Smaragdis.

We have to go past the problems caused by the injuries but I believe our fans will help us along the way to score another win and get closer to qualify for the next round” he says.
