The president of the FIVB Ary Graca has officially met with the minister of sports in Russia Pawel Kolobkov. Also, the president of the Russian volleyball federation Stanislav Shevchenko and the head of the CEV Aleksandar Boricic were present at the meeting.

The minister Kolobkov has confirmed that one of the topics at the meeting was a plan to organize this big volleyball event in 2022.

Recall that Russia was the host of the men’s volleyball World Championship, in 1952 and in 1962. In 2007, the Russians organized the European championship, winning the silver medal, losing the final from the Spanish National team, which was led by Andrea Anastasi.
