The right example is Poland. The Polish volleyball national team were dominating at the World Cup, with the best performances, but they didn’t manage to take a ticket for Rio 2016! What happened?

The team of Stephane Antiga had an amazing winning streak. They scored 10 consecutive wins and were on top of the standing before the start of the last round. Many people thought that one ticket will go to the Polish team. But, it didn’t happen.

Despite winning 10 matches, they had to win even the last, 11th game, to secure ticket for Rio 2016? Isn’t it cruel? So, they had to have 11 wins out of 11 matches to reach gold and Summer Olympics.

It seemed that first 10 performances were not enough. They had to play decisive match against Italy, who revealed the secret of success.

Unfortunately for their fans, they faced really good Belngini’s side and lost the match. These 10 wins before the last match at the World Cup were not enough even for the second place?! That’s the cruelest thing.

We are wondering how Antiga is going to make analysis of the World Cup? He needs to step in front of players and to say “We failed because we won only 10 out of 11 matches”…Volleyball can be cruel sport sometimes, really.

Now, World Champions have to find another way to reach the ticket for Rio 2016.
