Canada defeated China in a 5-set thriller and jumped to the 4th position on the standings. The red and white crew have 1 win and 2 points more than Australia, but the Volleyroos squad are playing their match against Poland at this moment.
If Poland win that game, then Canada will qualify for Rio. If Australia win that game by 3-0 or 3-1 then they will qualify for Rio. In case, Australia win that game by 3-2 than the overall point-ratio between Australia and Canada will determine which side will go to the Olympics.
